If you want to be happy...the words to this song could reveal how you are standing in your own way!

We show others what we want them to see, Fearful of our true selves, of our greatness! When our greatness looks crazy; different from others, It causes us to stand out in a crowd. We are taught from an early age to assimilate ourselves into our surroundings. We are taught to compete with others. We taught to brag and boast about our accomplishments. As we age and mature, we expect others to know our heart, our motives, our interest, and to accurately discern our character by what we have done in the past and what we are allowing them to see us do right now. We frequently seek praise and admiration. We are always seeking to be understood, accepted, and appreciated....and expect recognition for our efforts. We find creative ways to flaunt how religious we are and put on veils of righteousness over our grief, troubles, and sin...forgetting that God sees our heart! We need to return to prayer, in the secret place...the prayer closet, to counteract the vanity...to restore our humility...to repent and to be reminded that we are made for His purpose and not our own! Once we emerge from the prayer closet we will be equipped to tell the world about the God we serve! Are you too busy to bless the Lord, but you're seeking him to bless you, your family, and your circumstances? Lean not to your own understanding... your ways are not like His ways, so seek FIRST kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Its prayer time folks! Prayer time is an opportunity for an intimate encounter with God. Whether you're driving to work or in your bed...don't let your location be your excuse....He's with you anyway, why not speak with Him while you're still able. If you would like to do so in fellowship with the saints, find a morning prayer line that is "In line" with the word of God. Morning Prayers: Heavenly Father Change our atmosphere Lead (us) down a path of righteousness We thank you for the precious blood of Jesus We declare you are righteous We declare every dry bone will live, it will rise to your fullness through your resurection power Every dead thing in our life will live We lift you up and confess...if we believe it, it shall be established We activate the atmospher of completion and we will finish this year strong We Bless Isreal We Bless those who are overcoming infirmaty, send your word with deliverence and breakthrough We pray that wealth and riches shall be in our family We are daily loaded with benefits You will lead and direct us and our cups are running over in supernatural divine favor We pray for those who are lost, for those who are walking contrary to your word and the plan fore you have already established in your word that we will prosper in ALL things. We pray for clarity, direction, and reflect on your goodness and mercy, how you have brought us through time after time You are God, Jehoviah...you are worthy and we give you permission to change our daily appearance. Let your Glory manifest in our lives! Father God we pray for divine protection...that we will see the presence of the hand of God!
"I reject every rearrangement of my destiny (by satan), in Jesus name!" We are confident that God is going to "align, realign, assign and reassign" our destiny according to His purpose. He has a gift in the Spirit for you! 2 Corin 3:4-6 NKJV And we have such trust through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. The meaning of minister (sharath) in Hebrew is to serve, worship, and pay reverence to, it is not limited to being a preacher. (see 1 Timothy 3:1-16 in the Message bible to learn more about the role and characteristics of leaders in the church) Note: If you say you're not a "minister," you are saying that you are not a servant of God, you are not a worshipper of God, and you do not pay reverence to God! We were ORDAINED as servants of God from the foundation of the earth. He is our sufficiency. He declares to us "I am ALL you NEED!" 2 Corin 3:4-6 Message Bible His letter authorizes us to help carry out this new plan of action. The plan wasn’t written out with ink on paper, with pages and pages of legal footnotes, killing your spirit. It’s written with Spirit on spirit, his life on our lives! When you are a carrier of his light...He is giving you a new plan of action. We are to "be an ADVERTISEMENT of HIS Glory!" I declare: God's divine abundance in every area of my life and I recieve it in the name of "Yehoshuah" – Joshua. In my forty years of life I've endured a lot of heartache and pain. I've experienced all forms of abuse, neglect, abandonment, vicious attacks against my character, and even the sting of rejection. Fortunately, I bear few visible scars. However, there are many invisible, deeply embedded scars buried in my psyche. They materialize in my dreams, manifest as depression, fear, and isolation. It's a wonder that I've managed to endure when many who have faced similar circumstances have succumbed to the common and often co-occurring activities of trauma survivors; addictive behaviors, lost of mental stability, and attempts to end their physical suffering through suicide. I give all credit, honor, and glory to the divine power of my Heavenly Father for keeping me thus far. I often find myself smiling through my tears, amazed by the complexity of God's master plan and purpose for my life. During these times, I remind myself that I have a predestined cross to bear. A cross that's designed to strengthens me day by day, if I am willing to endure. I pray that you will begin to see your cross as the catalyst to fulfilling your destiny. Refuse to give up prematurely! Resist all forms of temptation designed to take you off course and remember, "No Cross, No Crown." Written by James Cleaveland and recorded by Vickie Winans
My heart has been ripped out and torn to pieces. It's been ravished by the wild and relentless tactics of the enemy of my soul! Why is it that just when you begin to think that you have endured so much that nothing could possibly move you to tears, or break your spirit, you are rudely awakened from that dream state to a new state of consciousness. A state of consciousness that reminds you that you are a vessel, designed to endure the trials and tribulations of this world. Death, abuse, embarrassment, neglect, rejection...they all have a way of snapping and slapping you back to reality. In the midst of these moments of despair, when your soul feels tortured, you may consider "throwing in the towel," to end your life, to end your pain. In that moment of feeling overwhelmed or trapped...take a deep breath and cry out to your God for deliverance! Now is not the time to concern yourself with protocol...open your mouth express your anger, pain, and disappointments...allow your tears to flow, rock back and forth, pace the floor, question Him. Once you have vented, plead to him for relief...for direction, protection, and peace. Then... Be STILL! If you can, close your eyes... breathe slowly and deeply while sitting or standing quietly, if possible lay down to relax your mind and body. Stay in this position until the intensity of your despair subsides...be receptive and open to the peace and answers He may provide, they may be as subtle as your baby's laughter, a gentle breeze or as vivid as a call or text from an encouraging friend. Remember, he has a plan for your LIFE! Suicide is not an option! If you or someone you love is feeling overwhelmed by life, are in a state of crisis, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. LIVE and Be Blessed! ALWAYS!! Chorus:

We CAN achieve the desires God has implanted deep in our heart to be GREAT! (Psalm 37:4) I know it appears impossible in the natural, when all we see is our lack: lack of resources, lack of encouragement, and lack of relationship -- BUT GOD! He CAN do it for you…He CAN do it for us! He will make a way out of what appears to be NO way. (Revelations 4:11, Jeremiah 32:17) Here's the catch though... WE MUST BE WILLING TO DO OUR SHARE OF THE WORK. We MUST seek HIM, our Father in Heaven, FIRST! (Matthew 6:33). We must ACCEPT, RESPECT, and put into EFFECT the power of the Holy Spirit within us! (Romans 5:5). We must flea from temptation in all its forms and choose to honor GOD at ALL times! (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Youth
You have more control over your life to be successful than you realize; but, you must use your time wisely, do all work assigned to you, make wise choices, build right relationships, be willing to accept instruction and constructive criticism and most of all PRAY: for guidance, doors to be opened, the strength to endure and protection from ALL attacks of the enemy that seeks to derail you from achieving your purpose and destroy you! (Proverbs 13:4, Proverbs 12:26, Proverbs 12:15, James 1:12, Proverbs 1:7, Romans 8:28)
Parents
We must be the strongest, most powerful influence in the lives of our family. Our children will emulate our attitudes, behaviors, and levels of productivity. We must model the very things we expect of them, or they will consider us as hypocrites and unworthy of their respect. We must be willing to acknowledge and admit to our mistakes. If we don't take the time to train them in the way they should go, we are leaving them as unattended flock in a field surrounded by wolves. (Proverbs 22:6, Proverbs 11:3, Proverbs 28:10, 1 John 1:9, 1 Peter 5:8) Remember…we ARE made in the image of GOD! He chose our appearance, provided us with gifts and talents, and the strength to endure during trials and tribulation! What GOD has for you, IS for YOU! (Genesis 1:27, Ephesians 4:8, Romans 11:29, Matthew 24:13)
“Ain’t GOD Good!”… “ALL THE TIME!”
Be Blessed! ALWAYS!! I praise God for all of my supporters: my prayer warriors, encouragers, and financial donors. I never imagined that I would have the capacity to build a ministry abroad….BUT GOD! On June 5th Sacred Families International received a heartfelt message from a Pastor in Kenya, Africa stating “We are a young Christian fellowship from Kenya which gathers every Sunday for prayers and worship services! We have visited your ministry website and are happy to pass our gratitude for your true and divine teachings! We would like to humbly extend this request to you that if there are some more available teachings and Bibles, you kindly help us by the grace of God. We are much thankful to our heavenly Father that through you and your ministry you’re impacting lives and true love of Christ Jesus to the world.” In addition to all the things we are planning to use the funding raised for (a passenger van, scholarships for athletes, securing our 501(c)3 status that will open the floodgates to available grants, and so much more ----- purchasing bibles and biblical lessons is now a priority. We are accepting new and gently used bibles as well as donations to purchase and ship bibles to “[…] that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations […]” Luke 24:47 Contact us at sacredfamilies@yahoo.com if you would like to ship or arrange for bibles to be picked up. All donations provided through the "DONATE" button below will be used exclusively to purchase and distribute bibles. Be Blessed! ALWAYS!! Olinda Ricard-Hodge Dear Heavenly Father,
Please endow me with the wisdom, patience, joy and self-control necessary to live a life pleasing to you. Please allow me to be an advocate for my children, as the Holy Spirit guides me to be - even when I am the one imposing things upon them, let me be quick to recognize my faults, admit when I am wrong and cast aside my ego to assure them of my love, respect and gratefulness to be their parent. Please open my eyes to the errors in my own thinking, in my attitudes and my actions and create in me the sincere and genuine character necessary to address each in a positive and productive manner. Please Father continue to heal my mind, body, heart and grieving spirit like only you can. Give me the strength to carry on day-by-day, being fully aware of the enemy's tactics to derail your plans for me. Help me to do your will in my own life and aid in your grand plan for others. Teach me to be humble and reserved, not drawing excessive attention to myself, but to allow your character within me to receive ALL the Glory, Honor and Praise. Please protect and bless my family, friends, colleagues and those in need of your Grace and Mercy. Thank you Father for all you have done and are doing in my life. My I never neglect to give you the Glory, Honor and Praise due to your Holy and Sacred Name. In the Mighty and Magnificent name of Jesus I Pray! HALLELUJAH AND AMEN! It's difficult seeing someone we love suffer, however, it's important to remind ourselves, that no matter the circumstances, GOD is GOOD ALL THE TIME!
In the midst of our pain and suffering, we MUST continue to Pray to Him, Worship Him, and Praise his HOLY name. We must never fail to acknowledge that “He [God] is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He," (Deuteronomy 32:3-5 NKJV) knowing that, according to Psalm 145:17, "The LORD is righteous in ALL His ways, [and] Gracious in all His works." The book of James advises us of our individual and collective roles when one among us is ill or suffering, which comes in many shapes, sizes, forms and by many means. I praise God for providing his divine direction in addressing these matters. James 5:13 – 15 states, “Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray...Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” James 5: 16 admonishes the ill and/or suffering (this applies all of us), to "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." This verse does not imply that healing will be instantaneous, but it continues on to plainly state that it is "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much." NOTE THAT WE MUST ALL PURSUE RIGHTEOUSNESS! Take comfort in knowing that after we have done what the Lord has called us to do (regardless of the physical outcome), God cares for us. We must keep our thinking in the proper perspective by reminding ourselves that "...[His] thoughts are not [our] thoughts, nor are [our] ways [His] ways, [...] for as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are [His] ways higher than [our] ways, and [His] thoughts than [our] thoughts." REMEMBER ALWAYS!!! “The Lord IS righteous in ALL His ways!” Psalm 145:17 Be Blesses ALWAYS in the Mighty and Magnificent name of Jesus I Pray! HALLELUJAH AND AMEN! Pastor Rick Warren, author of the Purpose Driven Life, 27 year old son committed suicide. My prayers go out to Pastor Rick Warren, his family and congregation. Depression is a powerful and deadly mental illness. I know firsthand! I pray that those suffering with this weight are able to seek the help they need, despite the stigmas and fear associated with being labeled "mentally ill." I'm certain (and know form experience) that the label and the constant reminder of it, is enough to cause a person to "pretend" that all is well in the presence of others; but when the doors close, and we are physically "alone," Satan gets excited! Satan rejoices that we have chosen to isolate ourselves…making easier and in some cases finally possible for him get busy doing his dirty work. I can only imagine his excitement! Satan is a master at what he does and effectively demonstrates his mastery by filling us with his powerful and convincing lies, fore he “[…] He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a falsehood, he speaks what is natural to him, for he is a liar and the father of lies and of all that is false.” (John 8:44 Amplified Bible.) He advances with his arsenal in such fashion: "You're worthless!..Nobody loves you!..You will never amount to anything!.. They will be better off without you!…You’re not smart enough!...You’re not wonderfully made.!..You’re ugly!...You’re lazy!...You can’t do anything right!...You're a failure!...You'll never be successful!...AND THE MOST DAMNING OF ALL: God does not exist and if he does, he doesn't care about you – after all, if he did why would he allow you to suffer!" ...and on, and on, and on! In the midst of many years of battling depression, low self-esteem and the effects of neglect, physical, verbal, and sexual abuse, to now know in my heart…and I have chosen to believe, the TRUTH about God and his most sacred creation (you and me): “[ …] He [God] first loved us. 1 John 4:19 NKJV “[…] I [we] am fearfully and wonderfully made […] Psalm 139:14 NKJV” And when all else fails and I begin to feel overwhelmed with fear, sadness or even anger over the past traumas and "[...]fiery darts of the wicked one" (Ephesians 6:16), I meditate on the words of Psalm 27:1-14 NKJV The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked came against me To eat up my flesh, My enemies and foes, They stumbled and fell. Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me; Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” Do not hide Your face from me; Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not leave me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation. When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the Lord will take care of me. Teach me Your way, O Lord And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries; For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord! I Pray that you are Blessed ALWAYS in the Mighty and Magnificent name of Jesus! HALLELUJAH AND AMEN!

US residents can follow the link to contact the National Domestic Violence Hotline or call 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE). Sacred is, what sacred does and what it does not do! Sacred holds itself to the highest of standards, not allowing itself to be moved by the appearance of things, because, what one sees - is not always real or the truth. The most sacred relationship God has created for mankind, beyond, but certainly inclusive of himself, is that of husband and wife. God's standards of sacredness for this relationship mirrors his divine appointment of Christ to the Church. God has decreed that "[...] husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself" [Ephesians 5:28], however, men and women in Christian professing relationships are often living with a physically, mentally and/or sexually abusing spouse. This decay in the sanctity of marriage is, without a doubt, a major contributor to the social, moral and spiritual demise of mankind. Many individuals, living under these conditions often (unwittingly) play a major role in the development and continuation of the ungodly treatment they are experiencing, and falsely believe they have little or no hope of escape. So, what can be done about this epidemic that has forced itself into what is regarded by God as the most sacred of relationships? How can the cycle be broken and uprooted? 1. Confession...It's not only good for the Soul! Battered/abused individuals must first, and foremost, acknowledge that they ARE, in a relationship that engages in the ungodly practice of abuse. Many victims fail to make this "confession" because of their fear of embarrassment, feelings of low self-worth and denial (even while they sit in the emergency room with broken bones). Many of us were not taught nor have we experienced the true meaning of love. Making us vulnerable and eager to accept whatever appears to be freely given: money/tangible items, a mate that is present in body but not in mind, negative attention, and inappropriate affection. So how could we possibly know how to recognize and demonstrate LOVE? I'm glad you asked! Let the record show that LOVE is eloquently defined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV): "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." If and when you are in doubt about the status of your relationship, or you need to determine if there is a need for counseling, intervention, or separation, compare the "love" you are experiencing to the "Love" God desires for you. 2. Pray to the Father for deliverance, strength & guidance. Psalm 20:6 states that "[...] the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His Holy Heaven with the saving strength of His right hand." I know, you're probably saying to yourself, "I'm not anointed, so this doesn't apply to me!" or "Anointed! Me! Yeah Right! How is that possible?" I assure you....YOU ARE ANOINTED!!! The bible states that, as believers in Christ Jesus we have been established, anointed, sealed and given the Holy Spirit in our hearts. "But," as LeVar Burton's motto, in one of my beloved childhood programs Reading Rainbow, said in each episode, "you don't have to take my word for it!" Read 2 Corinthians 1:21 (NKJV) for yourself to find out the value God places on your life, body and soul: Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and has anointed us is God." 3. Obtain help in the form of Godly counsel, physical protection and moral support. God did not create us to be islands unto ourselves or to have all knowledge, wisdom or ability in ALL things. He gave each of us gifts, that we may work together, for and with each other as needed. The devil wants us to feel lonely, he needs us to doubt that we are worthy of love, attention, compassion and affection. We often find it easier to keep our "mess" hidden, and consider ourselves experts at doing so, until we discover that our deepest secrets are interwoven in a mesh of controversy, rumors and even lies. We then wonder, "How did this happen?" There are two common reasons:
There are several important passages in the bible about this very thing:
Don't be too eager to accept the first words of advise you obtain, but develop a network of individuals you know to be trustworthy, honest, and have wisdom in the matter(s) you are bringing to them. It's not wise to expect a thief to guard your treasures. According to Proverbs 11:14 "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. Our Father in heaven desires that we live a life, in which, we can feel safe from harm. He promises that, “For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.” [Psalm 12:5] 4. We must ask God to forgive us for our role, if any, in this ungodly practice. We MUST Repent!!! In God's Holy word [2 Chronicles 7:14] he states that "[...]if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." We should rejoice in knowing that God is eager to shower us with his mercy. My sprit rejoices within me every time I read Psalm 86:5 "For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You." 5. We MUST forgive our offender for their hurtful actions towards us, knowing that all judgment and vengeance belongs to the Lord. Although this may be the most difficult thing to do, it is not impossible. God created us with the capacity to forgive. Forgiveness is a choice you make, but it is birth out of the LOVE you have for God and his creation.....mankind. There is no sin, crime or misfortune that can completely rob you of your divinely bestowed ability to Love, therefore you CAN NOT allow yourself to FALSELY believe that you do not have the capacity to forgive. "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord in Romans 12:19. This means that we are relieved of the burden to store up evil plots in our hearts to do harm to anyone in retribution for our sufferings. We are instead issued a warning that "[...] if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." [Matthew 6:14-15] Think about it, the principle of forgiveness was so important that, Christ did not neglect to include it in the model prayer he provided to the disciples. We are to humbly ask God to "[...] forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." (Matthew 6:12) 6. We must be willing to courageously allow the Holy Spirit to use our trials as a testimony to encourage others that security, peace and joy can be restored to them. There is no better scripture to emphasize this point than 2 Timothy 1:7-9 which states, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, [...] but share with me in the sufferings for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began." We are to use our difficulties, "sufferings," or shortcomings, as well as, the positive events in our lives as our testimony of God's power and love, as he works according to His purpose. In all things trust God, fore "He will not leave you, nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6) If you have a need or desire to have someone come in agreement with you in prayer for God to manifest himself in your life or the life of another, we are here to serve as an intercessor for and with you. Today is the day that I commited myself to following the prompting of the Holy Spirit, to develop this ministry, who desires that families embrace who they are before the Lord God YHWH, our father and creator.
The father desires that we know him personally, being withnesses of his LOVE; Jesus Christ, Yeshoua. We are to seek out knowledge of his kingdom above all other desires and he will open our eyes to the truth about his will for our lives. God, YHWH, desired to cultivate his love through a family...he desires that we also fullfill this great mission on the face of the earth. We are to love others as we love ourselves, but we must first know what LOVE is and what it isn't! |
